Tawny in the Park

This lunch time, I got a phone call from my friend Chris who works in an office overlooking Crookes Valley Park – there was a tawny owl in plain view roosting in a tree. I ran down, and got good views, using one of Chris’s colleague’s offices as a hide. A nice, unexpected lunchtime twitch!

This morning, on the way to the tram stop, I also saw another swallow, this time flying over Loxley Park residential home. It’s starting to feel like Spring at last.
