05/04/2013 – Lunch and post-work

A final go at the Birding Lunch didn’t come up with too much interesting stuff, but a bullfinch in Ponderosa was a nice addition to the week’s tally, and a couple of Canada geese were at Crookes Valley (with the great crested grebes still present and correct too).

In the evening I had a quick walk round Wheata Wood – not a lot seen (bar a nice flock of 30 or so redwing near the car park), but it’s so good to have a couple of hours daylight after work again.
