Spring is in the air. No really!

It seems weird to us humans, who think of it as the middle of a particularly drab and drizzly Winter, but the birds are showing the first signs of limbering up for the Spring.

This morning, walking down Loxley Road for the tram, I heard at least two song thrushes in full song, and a dunnock singing from a hedge. At the weekend, I also saw a goldcrest singing away in a tree.

It’s good to see signs that there’s better weather round the corner!
