Patch update

I had a quick walk on my patch this morning (from the footpath near my house to Old Wheel Dam and back, c 10.30am-12pm). Highlights included the two female goldeneye on Old Wheel Dam, which are still there, along with the usual mallards, coots, moorhens and a pair of tufted ducks.

I also got great views of a singing goldcrest, in one of the conifer trees on Low Matlock Lane.

Full list today:

Tufted Duck, Mallard, Goldeneye, Coot, Moorhen, Black-headed Gull, Woodpigeon, Collared Dove, Feral Pigeon, Blackbird, Mistle Thrush, Robin, Wren, Dunnock, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Goldcrest, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Jackdaw, Jay, Carrion Crow, Magpie
